Metal cutting machines from Promash

Metal cutting machines are the first stop for every workpiece: before it is drilled, welded or bent, the material is cut to length. At Promash there are 126 metal cutting machines from Optimum and Metallkraft — 76 band saws and 50 circular saws — and over 500 accessories for them: blades, discs, roller conveyors and roller tracks.

What metal cutting machines are there?

Stationary metal cutting machines are of two types: band saws, which cut with an endless saw blade, and circular saws, which cut with a circular saw blade. Both types have manual, semi-automatic and automatic models and differ in capacity, speed and the cleanliness of the cut.

Band saws

76 models from €198 to €23,700 — from the manual 230 V OPTIMUM SQ-V10 to the automatic Metallkraft BMBS 230 x 280 CNC-G. They cut round material up to Ø355 mm. The best choice for solid material, large profiles and minimal waste.

Metal circular saws

50 Metallkraft models from €354 to €24,706.80, with a blade of 230 to 400 mm. The manual high-speed HKS 230 is for installation work, and the low-speed MKS saws with cooling — for the shop. Suitable for profiles and tubes when you want a fast and very clean cut.

Cutting accessories

Over 500 items: blades and circular saw blades, MSR roller conveyors and roller tracks for feeding long bars, stops, vices and cooling emulsion.

How to choose a metal cutting machine?

Answer three questions: what you are cutting (solid material, a profile or a tube), how large the cross-section is and how many cuts you make per day. For solid and large material — a band saw. For profiles and tubes with a clean cut — a circular saw. For production runs — a semi-automatic or automatic model.

  • Cross-section: benchtop band saws cut up to Ø125 mm, horizontal ones up to Ø355 mm; circular saws with a 315 mm blade cut a square profile up to 90 × 90 mm on the MKS 315 V.
  • Angle: for frames and structures choose a model with a swivelling head or arm for cutting at 45°.
  • Power supply: if you have only 230 V, the choice is between the benchtop band saws, the S 275NV and the HKS 230 and MKS 250 N circular saws.
  • Feeding: for long bars a roller conveyor saves your back and time.

What are metal cutting machines used for?

Metal cutting machines are used in metalworking, in the production of metal structures, fences and gates, in metal warehouses, in maintenance workshops and maintenance. Where profiles and bars are cut to length every day, a stationary machine is more accurate and safer than an angle grinder.

The blade and the disc are consumables: choose a machine for which you will easily find spare blades and discs. All those we offer are in the cutting accessories and on the page of each machine.
