The metal guillotine shear cuts sheet metal in a straight line, without distortion and without sparks — something an angle grinder and snips cannot do on a long sheet. At Promash there are 54 Metallkraft and Optimum guillotine shears and sheet metal shears, with prices from €178.80 to €20,833. The largest motorised models cut sheet up to 4 mm and over 3 m wide and are on request.
Guillotine shears are divided by drive: manual — with a lever or a foot pedal — and motorised, with an electromechanical drive. Manual ones cut thin sheet up to 2 mm and about 1 m wide. Motorised ones cut up to 3–4 mm and over 3 m, with stops for production work.
The PS 125, PS 150 and PS 300 sheet metal shears cut sheets, round and flat steel. The BSS 1000 manual guillotine shear cuts up to 1.2 mm at a width of 1,020 mm and folds for storage. The TBS 1051-20 cuts mild steel up to 2 mm, stainless up to 1 mm and aluminium up to 1.5 mm. The FTBS 1050-12 M and FTBS 1300-12 M have foot control, so both hands stay free for the sheet.
The electromechanical MTBS 1050-10 cuts 1 mm at 1,050 mm with 55 strokes per minute. The MTBS 1255-40 E, 2055-30 E, 1350-30 B and 2103 models cut 3–4 mm at widths from 1,250 to 2,050 mm. The MTBS 1255-40 E, for example, has lighting on the cutting line and a 630 mm back gauge. The largest, up to 3,060 mm, are on request.
Two parameters decide the choice: the maximum thickness of the sheet and the maximum width of the sheet. The thickness is given for mild steel — for stainless it is less. Take a guillotine shear with a small margin over the thickest and widest sheet you cut regularly.

The sheet metal guillotine shear is used for cutting sheet metal into strips and blanks before bending, rolling or welding. It works in sheet metal shops, in the production of ventilation, roofs and cladding, metal cabinets, boxes and structures, in car repair shops and in machine repair.
After the guillotine shear the sheet usually goes to a press brake for bending. Spare blades and back gauges for the guillotine shears are in the sheet metal working accessories.

The guillotine shear must be set up correctly — the clearance between the blades decides whether the edge will be clean. With us you buy from the official importer and get commissioning and training.
Sheet metal shears start from €178.80, the BSS 1000 manual guillotine shear is €2,218.80, and the motorised ones — from €3,450 for the MTBS 1050-10. Prices include VAT.
Our manual guillotine shears cut from 1 to 2 mm of mild steel — the TBS 1051-20 goes up to 2 mm. For thicker sheet you need a motorised guillotine shear.
The motorised guillotine shears we offer have an electromechanical drive and cut up to 4 mm. If you are looking for a specific machine, ask for a custom quote.
