Pallet trucks and stackers

The pallet truck and the manual stacker are the main helpers in every warehouse, shop and workshop where goods arrive on pallets. The truck takes the pallet along the floor, the stacker lifts it onto a shelf or into the body of a van. Types of pallet trucks and stackers

The models differ in how high they lift the forks and whether the movement and lifting are by hand or by motor. All have forks about 1150 mm long for a standard pallet.

Scissor pallet truck

Unicraft PHH 1001 lifts 1 t from 85 to 800 mm. The pallet becomes a workbench — you pick the goods without bending over. It has a mechanical quick lift to the maximum height and an adjustable lowering speed. The PHH 1003 E does the same with electro-hydraulics: a 12 V / 60 Ah battery and a 0.8 kW motor, and it can also be used manually.

Manual stacker

Unicraft GHHW 1000 is a manual stacker for 1 t with a fork height from 90 to 1600 mm. The construction is of steel section and is particularly suitable for loading and unloading vehicles. It works without electricity, so there are no sparks or electromagnetic fields.

Electric pallet trucks

The EHW 12 and EHW 20 carry 1.2 and 2 t with a lithium-ion battery. The speed is adjusted steplessly from the button on the tow handle, and the low-speed mode helps in tight spaces.

How to choose a manual stacker or pallet truck?

Choose by three questions: how much the heaviest pallet weighs, to what height you need to lift it and how many metres a day you move it. If the pallet is only moved — a pallet truck. If it has to go up onto a shelf or into a van — a stacker.

• Load capacity. 1 t (PHH 1001, PHH 1003 E, GHHW 1000), 1.2 t (EHW 12) or 2 t (EHW 20).
• Fork height. 80–195 mm for the EHW, up to 800 mm for the scissor trucks, up to 1600 mm for the stacker.
• Drive. Manual for the PHH 1001 and GHHW 1000; electric lifting for the PHH 1003 E; electric travel for the EHW 12 and EHW 20.
• Manoeuvrability. The turning angle is 210° for the PHH 1001 and GHHW 1000, the turning radius of the EHW is about 1.34 m.

Where are they used?

The manual stacker and pallet trucks work in warehouses, shops, print shops, workshops and anywhere goods arrive and leave on pallets. Where a forklift is unnecessary or cannot get in, they do the job with one person.

The scissor truck is convenient for order picking and on production lines — the pallet stays at a convenient height. The stacker is for shelves and loading a van from the ground.
