Inverter stick welders

The inverter stick welder is the simplest and most widespread welding machine: electrode, holder, earth clamp — and you weld. Types of inverter stick welders

The models are in two series — EASY and CRAFT. The models with "P" and the large CRAFT-STICK also weld TIG.

EASY-STICK — for the garage and repairs

EASY-STICK 141 delivers 10–140 A for 1.6–3.2 mm electrodes and welds material from 1 to 4 mm — for €193. EASY-STICK 161 delivers up to 160 A, works with electrodes up to 4 mm and welds up to 6 mm. Both weigh about 4.4 kg.

CRAFT-STICK — for the workshop

CRAFT-STICK 161 has 10–160 A. CRAFT-STICK 161 P and CRAFT-STICK 201 P weld with stick and TIG, up to 8 and 10 mm material, on 230 V.

CRAFT-STICK 253 and 403 CEL — on 400 V

CRAFT-STICK 253 delivers 20–250 A for electrodes up to 5 mm. CRAFT-STICK 403 CEL delivers up to 400 A, works with electrodes up to 8 mm and has a 60% duty cycle at maximum current.

How to choose an inverter stick welder?

Choose according to the thickness of the material and the diameter of the electrodes you use. For sheet metal and profiles up to 4 mm the EASY-STICK 141 is enough. For 6 mm — 160 A. For thick structures — 250 or 400 A on 400 V.

• Welding current. 140, 160, 200, 250 or 400 A.
• Electrodes. 1.6–3.2 mm for the EASY-STICK 141, up to 4 mm for 160–200 A, up to 5 mm for the CRAFT-STICK 253, up to 8 mm for the 403 CEL.
• Material thickness. 1–4 mm for the EASY-STICK 141, up to 6 mm for the 161 models, up to 10 mm for the 201 P and 253.
• Working with a generator. The EASY-STICK 141 and 161 need a generator above 8.4 kVA, the CRAFT-STICK 161 P — above 5.1 kVA.
• TIG. If you also want TIG welding — the models with "P", the 253 or the 403 CEL.

What is the stick welder used for?

The inverter stick welder is for black metal: fences, gates, canopies, frames, trailers, repairs of agricultural machinery. It also works in the wind, where the shielding gas of a MIG machine is blown away.

For thin sheet metal and production work see the MIG/MAG machines, and for stainless steel and aluminium — the TIG machines.

The inverter is light: the EASY-STICK models weigh about 4.4 kg, the CRAFT-STICK 161 P and 201 P — 6.7 kg, and the three-phase CRAFT-STICK 253 — 11.8 kg. This means the machine is carried in one hand to the repair site, instead of the workpiece being dragged to the workshop. Do not forget a helmet, gloves and magnets for positioning — everything is in the welding accessories.
