Manual chain hoists from Promash
The manual chain hoist lifts tonnes without electricity — you pull the chain and the load goes up. That is why it is the first lifting device in every workshop, garage or construction site. The category has 12 Unicraft manual chain hoists from 1 to 10 t, with prices from €91 to €563 incl. VAT.
Types of manual hoists
All models are chain hoists and work without electricity. The difference is in the load capacity (1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 t), in the number of chain falls and in the series — K 1000/3000/5000/10000 or K 1001/2001/5001/10001.
Up to 2 t — for a garage and workshop
Unicraft K 1000 lifts 1 t to 2.5 m and costs €91. The K 1001 is also for 1 t, but lifts up to 3 m. The K 2001 is for 2 t. This is the class for removing engines, loading a trailer and installing parts.
3 and 5 t — for a shop and a site
The K 3000, K 5000 and K 5001 have 2 or 3 chain falls. More falls means less hand force, but also slower lifting — which is why the heavy models are pulled for longer.
10 t — for heavy structures
The K 10001 and K 10000 lift up to 10 t. They are used for installing machines, steel structures and heavy castings. At 10 t the chain passes through 3 or 4 falls, so the hand force remains manageable.
How to choose a manual hoist?
Choose a load capacity with a margin above the heaviest load, check the lifting height and think about how much force you will pull. With a manual hoist these three things determine whether the work will be easy or tiring.
- Load capacity. 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 t. Take a model that does not work constantly at its limit.
- Lifting height. The K 1000 lifts 2.5 m, the other models — 3 m.
- Hand force. At rated load it is from 320 N for the K 1001 to 450 N for the K 10000. Thanks to the extra falls, 10 t does not require three times the force of 1 t.
- Hook-to-hook distance. This matters with a low ceiling. On the K 1000 it is 300 mm, on the K 10000 — 730 mm.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| K 1000 | 1 t | 2.5 m | 1 | €91 |

| K 10001 | 10 t | 3 m | 3 | €563 |
What is the manual hoist used for?
The manual hoist is for places without power, for occasional lifts and for precise work where you want to feel the load. It is hung from a beam, a clamp, a gantry crane or a tripod and lifts while you pull the chain.
Car repair shops use it for engines, metalworkers — for parts and blanks, builders — on scaffolding and in trenches. To make it travel, hook it onto a manual hoist trolley. If you lift often and heavy, consider an electric hoist.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a manual hoist cost?
Unicraft manual chain hoists cost from €91 (K 1000, 1 t) to €563 (K 10001, 10 t), incl. VAT.
What is the difference between a manual hoist and a winch?
The hoist lifts vertically on a chain. The manual ratchet winch lifts and pulls with a lever, in different directions. See also the winches.
How high does the manual hoist lift?
The K 1000 lifts up to 2.5 m, all the other models — up to 3 m.
Do I need electricity?
No. The manual chain hoist works entirely mechanically — by pulling the chain.
