Winches from Promash
The winch lifts or pulls a load with a rope or a chain — by hand with a lever or with a motor. At Promash there are 13 Unicraft winches: manual ratchet winches up to 3 t and electric winches on 230 V and 12 V, with prices from €115 to €707 incl. VAT. This is also the answer for people looking for a mini hoist for a terrace or garage.
Types of winches
The winches in the catalogue are of three types: manual ratchet winches, 230 V mini electric winches for vertical lifting and 12 V electric winches for pulling. The choice depends on whether you have power and in which direction the load is pulled.
Manual ratchet winches
The HZ 751 and HZ 752 are for 0.75 t, the HZ 1501 and HZ 1502 — for 1.5 t, the HZ 3001 and HZ 3002 — for 3 t. They work with a lever, lift up to 1.5 m and pull in almost any direction — upwards, horizontally, at an angle. Prices are from €115 to €263.
230 V electric winches (mini hoist)
Unicraft MES 250-2 lifts 125 kg directly or 250 kg with a deflection pulley, up to 12 m high, and plugs into an ordinary socket. The ESW 500 is the larger model: 250/500 kg, up to 30 m high, a 1000 W motor. This is the solution when you need a home hoist without three-phase power.
12 V electric winches
The ESW 901 (900 kg) and ESW 1360 (1360 kg) run on 12 V direct current with 9 m of rope. They are controlled with a wired remote and have a friction clutch against overload.
How to choose a winch?
First decide whether you will lift vertically or pull. Then see what power you have — 230 V, 12 V or none — and what is the heaviest thing the winch will pull. From here the choice is between three groups of models.
- No power, up to 3 t: an HZ ratchet winch.
- 230 V, up to 500 kg, vertical: the MES 250-2 or ESW 500. With a deflection pulley the load capacity doubles and the height is halved.
- 12 V, up to 1360 kg, pulling: the ESW 901 or ESW 1360.
- Speed: the MES 250-2 and ESW 500 lift at 8 m/min (4 m/min with a pulley), the ESW 901 — at 1.82 m/min, the ESW 1360 — at 1.22 m/min.

Comparison of popular models
| Model | Type | Load | Power supply | Price |

| HZ 3001 | manual ratchet | 3 t | — | €222 |
| MES 250-2 | electric | 125 / 250 kg | 230 V | €143 |
| ESW 1360 | electric | 1360 kg | 12 V | €258 |
| ESW 500 | electric | 250 / 500 kg | 230 V | €635 |
What is the winch used for?
The winch is for loads that must be raised to a height or pulled into a place where there is no crane. The manual ratchet holds the load until you release it, and the electric one saves effort when you lift often.
The 230 V mini winches are installed on terraces, ceilings, warehouses and construction scaffolding — for lifting materials, crates, buckets of mortar. Manual ratchet winches are used for installation, tensioning and pulling machines. If you lift over 500 kg often, look at the electric hoists.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a hoist and a winch?
The hoist lifts vertically, usually on a chain, and is for frequent lifting. The winch pulls with a rope or a chain and can also pull at an angle. Small 230 V electric winches are used as a mini hoist.
Which winch is 220 V?
The MES 250-2 and ESW 500 run on 230 V — an ordinary socket. The ESW 901 and ESW 1360 are 12 V direct current.
How much does an electric winch cost?
From €143 for the MES 250-2 to €635 for the ESW 500, incl. VAT.
Can I lift with a winch on a terrace?
Yes, the MES 250-2 lifts up to 12 m, and the ESW 500 — up to 30 m. The winch must be mounted on a sturdy supporting structure.
How is it delivered?
By Pigeon Express to an address or office; the delivery price is shown at checkout and paid to the courier on receipt. Shipments over 400 kg are delivered by arrangement. You can pay by bank transfer, cash on delivery or in instalments with tbi bank and UniCredit.
