Manual hoist trolleys from Promash

The manual hoist trolley, also called a push trolley or a hoist carriage, hooks onto the lower flange of an I-beam and carries the hoist along it. It moves when you push the load or pull the chain. This category has 10 Unicraft manual trolleys with prices from €57 to €359 incl. VAT — the simplest way to make your hoist travel.

Types of manual hoist trolleys

Manual trolleys are of two main types: those you push together with the load, and those with a chain with which you move the trolley without touching the load. Both types are mounted on an I-profile without welding tools.

Trolley without a chain (push trolley)

Unicraft RFW 0.5 carries up to 500 kg, fits a flange from 55 to 220 mm and costs €57. You move it by pushing the load. It is suitable for short beams and light loads.

Trolley with a chain

Unicraft HFW 0.5 is also for 500 kg and a 55–220 mm flange, but it has a 3 m chain. You pull the chain and the trolley moves — convenient when the beam is high or the load swings.

How to choose a manual hoist trolley?

Choose a trolley with a load capacity at least equal to the hoist's, check the width of the beam flange and decide whether you will push it or move it with a chain. These are the three questions that decide the purchase.

  • Load capacity. The trolley carries both the hoist and the load. If the hoist is for 1 t, the trolley must also be for at least 1 t.
  • Flange width. Measure the lower flange of the beam. The RFW 0.5 and HFW 0.5 adjust for 55–220 mm.
  • Beam height. If the beam is above 3 m or the load is bulky, a trolley with a chain is safer — you do not have to push the load.
  • Turning radius. On the RFW 0.5 and HFW 0.5 the minimum radius is 0.5 m, so they can also pass along a curved rail.

What hoists is it used with?

The manual trolley works with any hoist that hangs on a hook — most often with manual chain hoists. It can also carry an electric hoist when you do not need motorised travel along the beam.

If you work all day and move loads over a long distance, consider an electric hoist trolley — it is controlled from the hoist's pendant. For a light load in a garage, workshop or on a short beam the manual trolley is quite enough.

Application

The manual hoist trolley is a classic in small workshops and service stations: you lift an engine, move it aside and lower it onto the stand. The same applies when feeding workpieces to a machine or loading a trailer.

Installation is simple — the trolley is adjusted to the flange width and tightened. There is no need to cut or drill the beam.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a hoist trolley cost?

Unicraft manual trolleys cost from €57 to €359 incl. VAT. The RFW 0.5 is €57, the HFW 0.5 with a chain — €359.

What is the difference between a trolley with a chain and without?

The trolley without a chain moves when you push the load. The one with a chain moves when you pull the chain — more convenient with a high beam or a heavy, swinging load.

What beam does the push trolley fit?

An I-beam. The RFW 0.5 and HFW 0.5 adjust for a flange 55 to 220 mm wide.

Can I put an electric hoist on a manual trolley?

Yes, as long as the trolley's load capacity is at least that of the hoist. If you also want the travel along the beam to be motorised, take an electric trolley.

How is it delivered?

By Pigeon Express to an address or office; the delivery price is shown at checkout and paid to the courier on receipt. Shipments over 400 kg are delivered by arrangement. You can pay by bank transfer or cash on delivery.
